OUR CUSTOMERS: The classic yet modernist interior design lends itself to a timeless atmosphere, making The Mark one of the only places in Olympia where you will find people of all ages and walks of life relaxing and enjoying themselves in the same space. The commonality is that they are savvy, nice people who appreciate the quality we offer.

OUR STAFF: The Mark’s generous service staff share a commitment to our style of genuine, unpretentious service, and the sincerity of combining this with a simple, excellent meal in an intimate setting.

EVENTS: Since opening our doors we have had the honor of working with many local organizations: senior services, animal services, and GRuB [Garden Raised Bounty] to name a few.

We take great satisfaction in the small ways The Mark is able to support our community. We donate to many worthwhile endeavors such as Big Brothers and Sisters and Safe Place… please join us. Little efforts can add up to something larger.

BUY LOCAL and spend cash: Whenever possible without compromising our quality we purchase goods from local sources.

The Mark opened in 2001 and began serving affordable, beautiful food and drink in a stylish yet casual neighborhood setting. The space was designed and built by Lisa Owen with the help of her mother Elizabeth, and Contractor Chris Bonds, in the shell of what was once City Tire Service, using recycled materials when possible.

The Mark Olympia is named in memory of Lisa’s step-father Mark Listner Greenburg.

Independent Venture: An independent, local, woman-owned and operated business since 2001.

The Mark Gallery began exhibiting local and regional artists in 2001 and continues to support the arts community by being a non-commission gallery. Link to the Gallery
