JOHN HENRY WADDELL
John Henry Waddell received a masters in Fine Arts at the Arts Institute of Chicago in 1948 as well as a masters in arts education in 1951. From 1955 to 1957 Waddell was the head of Art Education at the Institute of Design in Illinois also known as the New Bauhaus House working with colleagues such as Ludwig Mies Van de Rohe, Fredrick Summers, Harry Callahan, and Aaron Siskin.His piece the memorial That Which Might Have been, was a major exhibit at the Phoenix Art museum in 1964. Sculptures and paintings of waddell can also be found in the permanent collections of of many private and corporate collections nationwide he has also produced works for other artists such as architect Paolo Soleri.
